Accept payments on your site
One OAuth click connects your project to Polar.sh. The agent builds pricing pages, buy buttons, and carts that take cards from anywhere in the world — and Coagentic takes a 0% commission. Every cent your customers pay lands in your Polar balance.
You don't pay Coagentic per transaction.The monthly Coagentic subscription is the only thing we charge you. Polar keeps a small merchant-of-record cut (~5%) that covers worldwide VAT, sales tax, payment processing, and chargeback handling — but Coagentic itself doesn't skim your revenue.
Enable Platform Payments
Open any project, go to Integrations, and click Enable paymentson the green Platform Payments panel at the top. A new tab opens to Polar.sh — sign in (or sign up if you don't have an account yet), pick which Polar organisation you want connected, and grant the Coagentic app the permissions it asks for.
When you land back on the dashboard the panel turns green and says Payments enabled. That's it — the agent can now create products and your site can take checkouts.
Set up your bank account in Polar
Coagentic never asks for your banking details, KYC documents, or tax forms. All of that lives in your Polar dashboard. Before your first payout, open Open Polar dashboard from the Platform Payments panel and complete:
- Identity verification (KYC) — name, ID, business type
- Bank account or Wise USD/EUR for payouts (Wise is the easiest option from Türkiye)
- Tax forms Polar guides you through (W-8BEN outside the US, W-9 in the US)
Polar handles the full compliance burden — global VAT, sales tax, refund obligations, chargeback handling. You're a regular merchant on their platform.
Ask the agent to add pricing or products
The agent has direct access to your Polar organisation through its connection. Tell it what you want to sell in plain English:
The agent calls polar_create_product per item (one-time or recurring, your choice), then writes the HTML and JavaScript for the buy buttons. Polar-hosted checkout pages open when visitors click; payment confirmation flows back to your project automatically through a webhook.
You can also create products manually in your Polar dashboard if you prefer — the agent will use them too via polar_list_products.
Carts for multi-item stores
For e-commerce sites where a visitor adds several items and pays once for the total, ask the agent to use the cart pattern rather than per-product buttons:
Behind the scenes the site keeps the cart in the visitor's browser; on checkout it posts the entire cart to your project's public endpoint, Coagentic verifies the total and opens one Polar checkout for the cart total (with the line items recorded in the order metadata for your records). The customer enters their card once.
What happens after a sale
When a visitor pays:
- Polar accepts the card and holds the money (Polar is the merchant of record)
- Polar sends a webhook to your project; Coagentic records the order in your dashboard's Platform Payments panel
- Any workflows you wired to
order.paidfire — send a confirmation email, update a database row, send an SMS, etc. - Polar pays out to your bank on its schedule (typically weekly)
You can always see what's happened in the Platform Payments section: gross volume this month, recent orders with timestamps, refunded count.
Issuing refunds
Refunds happen in your Polar dashboard — open the order, click refund, choose full or partial. Polar handles the money movement and notifies the customer; the refund webhook fires back to your project so the order shows refunded in your dashboard automatically.
Disconnecting
If you stop using Polar (switching processor, closing the project, etc.), open the Platform Payments panel and click Disconnect. Coagentic revokes the OAuth token, deletes the webhook from your Polar org, and clears the connection from your dashboard. Your existing Polar products and historical orders stay intact in your Polar account — only the Coagentic link is removed.

Common questions
Do I need a Polar account before enabling payments?›
No. Click Enable payments first; Polar lets you sign up in the same flow if you don't have an account yet.
Can I use Polar from outside the US/EU?›
Yes. Polar serves 175+ seller countries including Türkiye, the UK, Canada, Australia, and most of Asia and Latin America. That's the main reason we picked Polar over Stripe Connect.
When does my money arrive in my bank?›
Polar runs payouts on a rolling schedule (typically weekly for new accounts, faster once you have transaction history). The exact cadence is visible in your Polar dashboard under Payouts.
What about taxes?›
Polar collects, files, and remits VAT/sales tax on your behalf in every jurisdiction they cover — that's what merchant-of-record means. You only pay income tax on the payouts they send you, the same as any other income.
What card brands and payment methods are supported?›
Polar accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and JCB worldwide, plus regional methods like Cash App Pay (US) and SEPA Direct Debit (EU). The full list is in your Polar dashboard under Settings → Payments.
Can I test without a real card?›
Yes. Polar's sandbox accepts the test card 4242 4242 4242 4242 with any future expiry and any CVC. Set POLAR_PLATFORM_ENV=sandbox in your deployment (self-hosted users) or use the sandbox tier on coagentic.work to try the full flow without real money.
